Timeless Suite For Ma Dukes is a music/film project by Carlos Nino & Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, they decided to pay tribute to J Dilla by interpreting his music in a contemporary chamber/orchaestra music style. A Suite for Ma Dukes initially began in 2007, on what would have been Dilla's 33rd birthday, when Niño & Atwood-Ferguson recorded and released their strings, brass and reeds-only version of J Dilla & Common’s “Nag Champa” to DJs, producers and fans over the internet for free. They had written the entire piece to accompany the record as a their tribute to Dilla, feeling that the producer was still in the track not by his presence but by his absence.


J ROCC:
As a member of the World Famous Beat Junkies (DJ collective), J Rocc has been a mainstay in West Coast hip-hop for over 20 years despite his youthful appearance and age. In addition to numerous mixtapes and his own production for Stones Throw releases, J. Rocc has been the DJ for Madlib's live shows since the early 2000's, was the 3rd member of Jaylib (Madlib & J Dilla) during the group's live events, and collaborated with Madlib on Beat Konducta Vol. 5-6: A Tribute to J Dilla. J. Rocc is currently working on a solo album for Stones Throw.


Mochilla: B+ & Eric Coleman
B+ (pronounced Bee Plus) is usually known as the man behind the camera, recently he has been making a name for himself as the man behind the turntables! In Los Angeles with musical comrade Eric Coleman they combine to create Mochilla. Mochilla has been on the forefront of the Los Angeles raregroove & vinyl scene for a few years now.
