Jaylib - Louder (Blast Your Radio Theme)

From the Madlib Medicine Show #11: Low Budget High Fi Music here is a track from Madlib & J Dilla from their never-realized second album.

Jaylib was formed in 2002 as Madlib & Dilla recorded separately in Los Angeles and Detroit. Their one album, Champion Sound, was released in 2003. When J Dilla moved to Los Angeles, he, Madlib and J Rocc began doing shows together as Jaylib, performing together for the first time at the Madvillain record release party in April 2004.

Madlib and Dilla collaborated primarily through the exchange of beat tapes, occasionally reworking each others material, or chopping the same beat in a kind of recorded call-and-response.

Tabi Bonney’s Postcard From Abroad Mixtape

This is a really cool mixtape presented by LRG & Tabi Bonney. One funny thing about LRG & Tabi is that Tabi probably wouldn't be caught dead wearing LRG, but alas listen to the music.

Murs – Varsity Blues 2 (Produced by Aesop Rock)

This is the best hip-hop song of 2011 (so far). It's produced by Aesop Rock, and is the first leak from Murs’ upcoming project Varsity Blues 2. The song is much darker than anything we've recently come to expect from Murs, and darker themes may seem to be his strong suit in the future. With leaks like this we can see that Murs is only getting better with time. This album serves as the sequel EP to his previous Varsity Blues project that dropped back in 2002.

Kanye West creates an interesting watch

From the "We hope this is a hoax" files comes info on timepiece by TIRET made exclusively for Kanye West. The expensive piece of jewelry, which costed about $180,000, is 18k gold with over 8 karats of yellow, black, brown and white diamonds, which were cut and placed to form an image of Kanye West.

According to The Luxist it took Tiret over five months to create the dial itself.

Last month, R&B singer Usher commissioned Tiret to make a one-of-a-kind watch with his own image on it as well, at a price tag of around $250,000.
