This exquisite new video from Goapele is a perfect visual analog to the song “Play”–starts off kind of like a Sade quiet stormer (and visually Goapele’s silhouette recalls the simplicity of Sade visuals like this) but quickly goes someplace much edgier. I don’t know exactly what game she wants to play, son, BUT IT AIN’T CHESS. The new LP Break Of Dawn drops Oct 24th.

Kerry Washington, Janelle Monae, and Karl Lagerfield all co-star in the video with Mr. Green.
