The legendary DJ Premier will be performing a live (DJ set) at The Shrine on Thursday, April 12th. DJ Premier's style of production epitomizes the New York sound of his earlier peers, DJ Premier's productions appear on many of the music's most important records: Nas' Illmatic, Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics, the Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready to Die, Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt, Jeru the Damaja's The Sun Rises in the East, and Mos Def's Black on Both Sides to name a few. Primo as he is known in hip-hop circles is truly a Hip Hop pioneer and legend.
